Two nights in hospital.

Lys Assia (85), the first ever winner of the Eurovision Song contest, almost got killed by her washing machine this weekend. It happened last Sunday when she returned to her apartment in Zürich after a stay in Greece, where she had attended two galas."My maid was not there, so I decided to wash the clothes myself".

The grand lady tried to pick one last item from the machine when a strong electric shock went through her. She was in a big shock, and her first concern was her weak heart and wether she would find somebody to help her. Fortunately she managed to pull herself up and get to a phone, where she called her doctor. "It was no small thing, I had to stay in hospital for two days", she told Swiss newspaper Blick.
It turned out that a cable was broken, that had been patched before, that now caused the electric shock. Fortunately mrs. Assia is doing fine again.

About .me

3minutes.me is an international bunch of people, obviously Eurovision fans, who want to share their passion with other fans. To some people, Eurovision is a yearly event, to other it's a way of life. 3minutes.me wants to be there for both groups. And we want both groups to become part of 3minutes too. Share your thoughts with us in our blog section. Give your opinion on everything you want that has something to do with the Eurovision Song Contest. Or become a part of the crew, if you feel you have things to contribute. We are open for any proposals (well, many, anyway). 3minutes.me wants to cooperate with everyone else that shares our passion. Contact us, if you want your eurovision website to be connected to ours. We can discuss details from that point.

We would like to thank Jonathan Sheahan, who designed the 3minutes.me logo!
